Midnight Blue Shawl : Simply Crochet 27

Happy New Year! I hope 2015 is going great for you all so far!

Today I want to share some photos of my Midnight Blue Shawl.

It’s my own pattern and it is available in Simply Crochet issue 27 which is out now.

I’m feeling really proud because the shawl actually made it onto the front cover of the magazine  :)

If you buy the magazine, check out the article on page 76 about crochet accessories, I share some of my thoughts about why I think crochet accessories are so great!

This shawl is made with silk yarn. It’s super soft and super shiny.

The yarn is from Colourmart (click here to see their webpage). This company is based in Shrewsbury and have the most amazing yarns. The colours they offer are amazing, the quality of the yarn is so high and to top it off the couple who run the company are really, really nice. I can’t recommend them enough!

The pattern features beaded crochet. Little glass beads are such an easy way to add some extra shine to your crochet projects.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

  12. I work in Shrewsbury and never knew this company existed. Your border is just like the one I put on my Elise shawl. Do you think we will all eventually run out of crochet combinations to do? It looks really good. Jo x

  16. Hello Elisabeth! Looking forward to seeing it when I next collect my magazines in England! :) The blue colour is stunning. Thanks for the link to the yarn company, how amazing! Do you have any recommendations - what yarn spec did you use? (ie. silk and merino?) would be very interested to know!
    Thanks!

  17. Congratulations! It is fantastic to have a pattern published in such a well-known magazine. I will get the copy in a couple of weeks. It always takes some time to get the magazine in Germany, but I will have a close look. The shawl is really stunning, I often thought about crocheting a shawl in deep blue, it looks so elegant. Have a nice Sunday, Viola

  19. Kudos to you, Elisabeth!!! Can't think of someone who deserves that cover more. The shawl is gorgeous - have been doing a bit of travelling, which has left little time for reading. Glad to see you've been busy! XOXOXO
